Trip to SA

The kind if visa we received to be in Mozambique requires us to leave the country every 30 days to activate the next 30 days. The missionaries we are working with in Moz, Johan & Anne, had an appointment in South Africa, and arranged that we all could go at the same time. We have been in South Africa since Friday and we will go back to Moz on Wednesday.

Johan & Anne are from South Africa and are Afrikaans people. They joined the mission organization Operation Mobilization (OM) in 1997. In 2002 they came to Mozambique, working with a smaller organization.

We are all enjoying our time in South Africa On Friday and Saturday we were at Petra College, a training center for children's ministry. Yesterday we drove to the Kruger Park- a huge game reserve! Yesterday on our drive through the park we saw a lion, elephants, buffalo, warthog, baboons, giraffe, a snake, and impala.

We'll be in and out of the park until we leave on Wednesday as we are going everywhere with Johan & Anne where they need to go. But it is really nice to be driving with them instead of our usual public transportation, and to be seeing the African wildlife.
