Culture shock: The cars

2 weeks ago when we were picked up from the airport, we were in for quite a surprise. As Isaac went to the "front seat" he realized that there was a steering wheel was there.  We were all quite clueless about driving here in South Africa, and assumed it was the same as America/Latin America.   But here, they drive on the other side of the road.  Even the walking pattern in the mall is reversed!

Every time we get in a vehicle, it feels so strange to sit where the driver should sit.  And one of our biggest challenges is crossing the road.  It doesn't seem like it should be that hard- but we are constantly looking the wrong way, and we think cars aren't coming, when they actually are!  You would think that after 2 weeks we would get used to it, but it is so hard to remember to look the opposite way than we've grown up looking!
