Tonight a dance teacher came and taught us how to dance salsa! It was a very fun time, and a relief from the heaviness of what we hear about in the school. Today we talked about the UN's Rights of a Child, that is an incredible document written on behalf of children, but little is done to enforce it. Things are included, like children have the right to an education, they have the right to be loved and cared for, the right to safe water and food. But there are so many children who live without those basic rights. So many children who are orphaned, abused, neglected, hungry, thirsty, and unloved.
So tonight, as I was in the salsa class dancing with my fellow classmates, it was a nice mental relief to the tragedy we learn about all day.
