On Sunday we had a welcoming dinner, where those from the Children at Risk school and the new Discipleship Training School where honored and inducted into the Costa Rican culture with typical music and food (beans and rice, ha!). They also chose one person from the various nations represented here to run in with their flag, as we applauded that people had come from around the world to serve God here. I was overwhelmed at how international this base is. Here are the countries where people are from: Canada, United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Venezuela, Argentina, Finland, Latvia, Germany, England, Switzerland, and Somalia.
I was overwhelmed with tears to know how God has brought nations together for the sake of the Gospel going out. And then to know, that at YWAM bases across the world, the same is occurring. It's so exciting to be part of what God is doing here in San Jose, but also on a global level of bring His good news to the world.
