This morning we went to a new church that was Spanish only, not bilingual like the Calvary Chapel that we have been attending. The pastor said they had a translator but that she was very nervous. They were going to try to have her translate the service, but asked if I would be willing to do it in case she wasn't able to flow. About 5 minutes into the service I was asked to come up.
I surprised myself as throughout the hour and a half preaching, there was only one word I didn't know: atoning. I'll make sure to add that to my vocabulary! I feel like today reflected what will happen on the outreach, as I am the only completely bilingual person on the trip.
