Here at YWAM, there are no paid workers. Every staff, student, and director is here as a full time volunteer. So, when it comes to things like cooking and cleaning, we are the ones who do it! We are on rotating teams for kitchen duty, and this weekend was my turn. We started the day at 5:30 am, making a hot breakfast for the short term missions team who is here, cleaned up, and a few hours later started making lunch. After lunch clean up, we had a few hours to ourselves before we did dinner. We served 180 plates at dinner, which meant a lot of chopping, stirring and cooking. This was my last time having kitchen duty, since we are leaving this base in a week, and I am quite glad!
