Last night at 3 in the morning, one of the staff members came in to wake up Ayumi, my Japanese roommate and inform her of what happend in her country. She immediatly called her parents and found out that they were safe, and that where the earthquake happened is quite far from her hometown. The YWAM base in Ensenada, an our south of us here in Tijuana had the option to evacuate as there were Tsuanmi alerts early this morning. The initial ripple passed our coast here at 8:30 this morning, but my specific location is in no danger if a tsunami hits. Our base is located 100 feet above sea level, which puts us out of risk if it were to come our way. We spent our morning prayer time interceeding for the people of Japan, and we feel especially conencted because our friend Ayumi knows so many people in the area that have most likely been affected by this disaster.
