Although I've been mainly talking about the ministry part of YWAM that I have been doing here, it is not what I spend the majority of my time doing. Most days there is a time of ministry, but only after hours spent in classes. These have been the past weeks' focus:
1st week- Orientation/personal testimonies
2nd week- Hearing the voice of God
3rd week- The Kingdom of God/ Prayer
4th week/this week- Relationships
Each week we have 1 speaker that teaches on the topic, giving 3 daily sessions. Last week's teachings were very powerful and I learned how to pray out God's kingdom on this earth, and how to hear His voice in praying for others.
There are moments when I feel like I'm doing this backwards. I've been doing ministry for the past few years, but never got officially trained, so now it is nice to be trained in the things of God so that I can be more effective when I get the opportunity to minister.
