Latin American culture is typically thought of as laid back, and slow paced. While that is the general case, that is NOT how I lived during my time in Honduras! Between the church, the school and my friends, my life was always on the go.
US culture is thought of as fast paced compared to Latin culture, but I am experiencing the exact opposite. Being back in the States, I have more time on my hands than I know what to do with! I am reading more than I ever have, and catching up with friends that I haven't been able to talk to for awhile.
Usually when I come home in the summer, I have a list of things to accomplish and a deadline for all of them to be done. It's been nice to be able to slow down. But things will quickly pick back up in January, when I leave for Latin America once again to work with YWAM in Mexico.
