This has been a very intense week. The pastors had asked me 2 weeks ago to preach at the first pre-teens night service of this new year. I was so incredibly nervous. First, its a really big deal preaching God's word to people. Second, pre-teens are a tough group. Third, the preaching was in Spanish. Thursday night came, and despite all of my nerves and fears and me, the service went really well and I believe that the Holy Spirit moved in every teenagers heart.
Our church has planted various other churches around the country. I think that we have planted 4 churches. One of those churches is in El Negrito which is about an hour and a half outside of the city. It is in the mountains and has dirt roads. The church building is made out of a a tent (for like a fair). I went to help with the children's ministry (there is just one lady doing it now). It was really great to go, and I'm excited to go again next week. There is just a fresh presence of God outside of a building and when you can worship and look up at the night sky and worship the God who created it all.
Today for Valentines Day a group of young adults went to an orphange to play with the kids. We all had a really good time, and the kids were excited to have a variety to their routine. It is a Christian home, and there are about 20 kids from 7 months to 16 years old. Its been a busy week but I feel so filled. Things are really going well.
